Motorcycle Section
Introduction
The Motorcycle Section is part of OSD (Operations Support Department).
Within the section there are eight officers, a Sergeant and seven Constables.
The work of the unit includes:
- Day to day traffic patrols and details.
- Education of motorists and other road users.
- Prevention and detection of crimes involving motorcycles.
- Identification of stolen motor vehicles.
- A.N.P.R. duties.
- 'Off Road' motorcycling.
- Casualty reduction.
- V.I.P. & Category A escorts.
