Support Services
Introduction
The Support Services department covers a number of diverse activities and delivers a broad range of services within its functional areas.
The overall purpose of the department is to provide an economic, efficient and effective support service to the force.
The department is based at Police Headquarters, Durham and consists of five branches:-
- Management of the Estate / Property Services and Repairs
- General Administration
Including registry reception, switchboard and word processing services. - Procurement / Supplies / Stores and Tailoring Services
Including supplies, stores and tailoring services - Management of the Vehicle Fleet
Including Vehicle Workshops and Transport Services - Risk Management
